Thank You!

To one and all,

My heart is just overwhelmed at the outpouring of love and affection and prayers we receive from all of you! We know that God is hearing the prayers being said, for sure! He is blessing us with so many wonderful days with Phil.

We have no clue what God has planned, but this time is a gift that we unwrap daily and enjoy! I'm sure the doctors wonder where we have gone because we don't call them or send them blood tests at this point. (We can draw Phil's blood at home and run it over to the lab here in Pleasanton for testing when needed.)

Phil's bruises have healed, his color is good and he appears as healthy as you and I, and maybe he is! :)

I was talking with my sister yesterday about children and how when you travel with them they always want to know, "are we there yet?", "how much longer?" etc...and it reminded me that that is how we are so many times with God. Full of questions, anxious to know the outcome, how long will it take for our prayers to be answered, etc...what children we are! After awhile though, and it has taken me a long while, I am content to "sit in the back seat", be quiet and watch the scenery go by. Just resting in the beauty of the day. Sometimes, more than a little tired, but thankful all the same. I don't know when we will arrive, I don't even know exactly where we're going, but the journey is to be enjoyed, and you all add to the enjoyment of that journey by your words of encouragement along the way. Thank you! Also, thank you for sharing these messages with others that you know. There are so many we have heard from who we have never met, but who have taken the time to write and to pray for Phil.
God is good!

Have a blessed day!

A Win-Win situation

Don't let another day pass, without praying for another

Remember what they're needing, and pray that they'll recover
Lift them up to Jesus, ask Him for His help
To see them through this day, to help them to get well
We all need prayers from others, as well as from ourselves
Prayer is so important, without it, life is Hell
It guides us through confusion, it brings us peace from stress
Protects us from deceptions, it clears up many a mess
It heals the sick and wounded, it blesses those who ask
It brings relief from burdens, that become too great of a task
Pray for one another, it's what the Bible says
God would have omitted it, if it didn't make any sense
But He wants us to do it, He listens to our pleas
It's not a wasted effort, the results are clear, so release
All the things that haunt you, and all requests to Him
You'll find Him in the answers, for us it's a true win-win

Psalm 34:17-18
The righteous cry out and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all
their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those
who are crushed in spirit.
