Three years ago you left this earth
Three years ago we said good-bye
We had no idea then what was ahead
Or the amount of tears we would cry
No one could have explained to us
The journey we’d begun
Because to live each day without you
Was beyond anything we’d ever done
It’s been the scariest adventure
A dad and mom could ever face
We weren’t sure we’d even make it
We thought we’d die without a trace
But we didn’t die, instead we’ve lived to tell
Those we meet along the way
That Jesus heals broken hearts and
Life continues, though we miss you everyday
We’ll see you one day in the clouds
We pray, Lord Jesus, come!
But until then we’ll continue on
Ever thankful that you are our son
